Amal Amar-Alattaby, DM, CNM, OBGYN NP is a seasoned Nurse Practitioner specializing in gynecology and comprehensive women’s health, with over 15 years of clinical experience. NP Amar-Alattaby provides expert, compassionate care for a wide range of gynecologic and reproductive concerns. Her clinical interests include abnormal uterine bleeding, secondary amenorrhea, missed or irregular periods, heavy periods, post-coital bleeding, vaginitis, and vaginal or urinary infections. She also manages thyroid disease, thyroid nodules, prediabetes, and women’s health issues related to exposure to environmental toxins.

Amal’s practice at AFFA Medical centers on non-obstetric gynecologic care, including birth control counseling, IUD insertions and removals, Pap smears, annual wellness exams, and sick visits. Her approach emphasizes patient-centered care, clear communication, and evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual’s needs.

She earned her Doctor of Midwifery from Thomas Jefferson University, her Master of Science in Midwifery from Stony Brook University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lehman College. Alongside her clinical practice, Amal serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator at SUNY Downstate and has more than a decade of teaching experience in midwifery, women’s health, and family nurse practitioner programs.
